Kate Vandenberg

Kate is a Nurse Practitioner at the Monash Children’s Cancer Centre, specialising in leukaemia and supportive care. She leads the supportive care service, which emphasises the prevention and management of treatment-related side effects and the integration of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) into clinical practice to assess and address the supportive care needs of patients and their families. Kate leads the evidence-based practice working group, facilitating the translation of evidence into local practice. Additionally, she is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, Cancer Nurses Society of Australia, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, and the Australia and New Zealand Children’s Haematology Oncology Group.
